Nintendo Switch Sports Resort disc golf: is it in the game?

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort disc golf is not one of the 12 sports in the game. The game releases on October 22, 2026 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, and the included Golf sport is the place to start if you came looking for a golf-style game.

Anyone searching for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort disc golf should know that disc golf is absent from the lineup. Coverage lists disc golf among the absent sports, along with chambara and badminton, and it notes that baseball and football did not return.

The Nintendo US store page confirms the Switch 2 exclusivity. The table below answers the basic questions.

What Nintendo Switch Sports Resort disc golf players should know

In one hands-on preview, a presenter first mentioned frisbee as part of the lineup, then corrected himself and said frisbee is gone. That video is the only source for this moment, so it should not be read as a feature.

Because the disc golf name appears in searches, it helps to be clear about what the game does include. The 12 sports are Archery, Basketball, Boxing, Bowling, Golf, Power Cruising, Prop Plane, Skateboarding, Table Tennis, Tennis, Thumb Wrestling and Volleyball.

Golf is the included sport to try

The included Golf page covers the sport in detail. Nintendo's UK game page lists 1 to 4 players offline and 1 to 8 players online for golf. Nintendo's US news article advises aiming for the distant hole and checking the ball's trajectory.

In hands-on previews, wind is randomized like it is in archery, and players account for gravity, drop and wind. Those details are the closest match to a disc-based golf feel that the sources describe, though the game does not present itself as disc golf.

Where to read next

The sports hub lists the 12 sports and links to each one, which makes it the fastest way to compare player counts across the whole lineup. Nintendo's US news article is the reference for the sport list used throughout this page. The Switch Sports comparison explains what changed from the 2022 game, including more cosmetics and the offline Island Crown ladder.

What you get with the game

Pricing for the digital edition sits at $49.99 on Nintendo's US store page, while the physical edition price is absent from the same page. For the bundle, Nintendo lists a Switch 2 system, the full game download and three months of Nintendo Switch Online, with a stated saving of $27.98 against separate purchase while supplies last.

A membership is needed only for online play. Nintendo's pages list TV mode and Tabletop mode for display, and they say nothing about a handheld display mode.
